Trip obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982. While at the University of Texas, Trip was a member of the 1979-1982 Baseball team. Since graduating from UT, Trip has spent his entire career in the financial services industry. He has a broad range of experience over those years, from managing trust assets totaling over $400 million, to managing a fixed income portfolio totaling $700 million, to helping structure taxable and tax-exempt debt amounting to $1 billion, and working as a wholesaler with financial advisors to position approximately $800 million in investments for their clients. Trip joined Securities America in 2015 as a licensed advisor working with another team in Dallas serving individual and business owner clients very similar to the wonderful clients here at Longhorn Wealth, thus his transition to Longhorn Wealth in late 2020 was seamless. He has a Certified Fund Specialist designation through the Institute of Business and Finance.
Trip resides in Carrollton with his wife, Liz. They have three adult children that live in Texas and Utah. He is an active member of All Saints Catholic Church. When not helping clients, Trip enjoys all outdoor activities including biking, hiking, golf and tennis. One notable point of serendipity, John Donovan introduced Trip to his wife Liz at a UT alumni event! And, of course, Trip is a HUGE UT fan!
Trip holds the Series 7, 63 & 65 Securities Registrations and the General Lines Agent (Life, Accident & Health) Insurance License.
